The aim of this paper is to study the influence of variable thermal conductivity in generalized thermoelastic solid with microstrech with the aid of Green-Naghdi theory. Exact expressions of displacement components, stresses, couple stresses, microstress distribution and temperature distribution were obtained. The effect of variable thermal conductivity was illustrated graphically.\N\NThe introduction gives a look at previous work and many contributions to this subject, which can be considered as a recent historical background. The following section contains the governing equations. The equations were organized, and the solutions are presented in section three. Chapter four contains mechanical conditions on the free surface (boundary conditions).\N\NNumerical results and discussion are given in chapter five, thus proving the effect of thermal conductivity on various physical quantities, considering the example of magnesium crystal. Different values for the constants are assumed and chosen in the numerical solution, then graphical representations are given in many figures in two and three dimensions, all come with explanation. In the last section six a conclusion was given. The paper ends with 52 references and an appendix, giving relations between the constants and also the variables in many equations.
