The paper under review is an interesting survey comparing results in group theory with results in ring theory via a well-written blending of techniques.\N\NMore precisely, the survey is divided into two main chapters: the first one (Chapter 2) dedicated to groups with probabilistic identities and almost PI rings that is exploited by recalling results in probabilistic identities in groups and almost PI rings; the second one (Chapter 3) treats random generation of groups and algebras.\N\NWhat makes this survey useful is the fact the authors do introduce clearly all the mathematical objects involved in, giving as well good sketches of proofs so that the reader has the possibility to handle quickly the main ideas of the theory.\N\NFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1539.11006].
