The authors investigate the existence, multiplicity and local dynamics of equilibria for a host-parasitoid model governed by a logistic equation describing the host population growth. Neimark-Sacker and period-doubling bifurcations are analyzed by regarding the parameter regulating the parasitoid's growth as a bifurcation parameter. The system is shown to be permanent. Furthermore, it is observed that the presence of the proportional refuge does not significantly influence the system's behavior compared to the system without a proportional refuge.
