Photothermoelastic interaction in a two-dimensional semiconductor with nonlocal stress theory (Q6559140)

The paper deals with a fully coupled thermoelastic problem in the semiconductor theory with the Eringen non-local stress theory. In the introduction, the author does his best to put the problem within the perspective of the ``intelligent design'' of microstructures. However, the feeling is that the author is pushing the limit of this thermomechanical problem to new, more complex and not yet explored hypotheses and their numerical solution. Of course this is a perfectly legitimate approach, but I would have preferred a clear statement of this, rather than saying vaguely that such a problem is an important one from an applicative point of view. After saying this, the paper deals with the stated problem, and the author's conclusions are well supported by the numerical analysis performed.
