The author studies the evolution equations, written in conformal variables, governing free-surface unsteady inviscid flows. They represent a system of first-order nonlinear integro-differential equations with two complex-valued functions regarded as unknowns. The equations are approximated using differential inclusions. This approximation makes it possible to estimate the existence time of solutions via numerical calculations and provides a mathematical foundation for verified numerical experiments.
