The paper deals with Riesz bases in \(L_2[0,1]\) formed by eigen- and associated functions of the integral operator \[ Af=\alpha\int_0^x A_1(x,t)f(t)\,dt + \int_{1-x}^1 A_2(1-x,t)f(t)\,dt , \] where \(\alpha^2\not=1,\) the derivatives \(D^k_xD_t A_1(x,t)\) and \(D^k_xD_tA_2(x,t)\) with \(0\leq k+l\leq 2\) are continuous for all \(t\leq x\) and \((t\geq x),\) respectively, and \(A_1(x,x-0)=A_2(x,x+0)=1.\)
