In this paper, a nonlocal Halanay inequality with an exact decay rate is proved. This result is an appropriate tool to analyze the behavior of solutions to some classes of nonlocal ODEs and PDEs involving unbounded delays. Thus, in the second part of the paper some applications to the analysis of the longtime behavior of solutions to nonlocal functional differential systems and anomalous diffusion equations with delays in bounded domains are given. A result for fractional evolution equations with Schödinger operator is also considered.
