The authors introduce a variational principle providing sufficient conditions guaranteeing the existence of odd periodic solutions with prescribed nodal properties for a general class of nonlinear oscillators with symmetries. Application is provided to a noninterdigitated Comb-drive MEMS modeled by a nonlinear version of the Mathieu equation. Some numerical simulation is also provided.
