In this paper, the authors investigate an initial value problem for the abstract semilinear differential inclusions of fractional order \(q\in (1,2)\). The linear part of the inclusion generates a cosine operator function and the nonlinear part is a multivalued map with nonconvex values. The existence of locally defined mild solutions and globally defined mild solutions of the initial value problem are proved with the help of results from the theory of fixed point theory for condensing operators.
