The article concerns the asymptotic behavior of the semigroup solution of a linear population dynamics problem, where the cell-division is taken into account together with the the age of the individuals. The cells are born at age zero and divided at age equal to the length of the cell. The two critical cases when the length is equal to zero or infinity are not considered. Under a general biological assumption which corresponds to a non-compact boundary condition, the author gives the asymptotic behavior to the generated semigroup using the \(L^1\)-norm.
