This paper considers the problem determined by the von Karman model (which describes small nonlinear vertical vibrations of elastic plates) coupled with Fourier heat conduction and with clamped boundary conditions. Existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence on the initial data are obtained by the Galerkin approximation. The study concludes with a numerical approach to the problem by means of the finite difference method.
