The paper studies the unconditional consensus control through leadership for the delayed Hegselmann-Krause model. The opinion model with leadership involves time delay and influence function accommodating the bounded confidence. The paper shows the consensus control behavior through leadership regardless of the length of the delay. A simple control strategy is design, which can steer all agents to any desired opinion. The strategy improves the previous result by removing the small assumption on the length of the time delay. Some numerical examples are provided to illustrate the theoretical results.
