The paper is dedicated to the study of local derivations of semisimple finite-dimensional Leibniz algebras. The study of local derivations was started by \textit{R. V. Kadison} [J. Algebra 130, No. 2, 494--509 (1990; Zbl 0751.46041)]. On the base of the structure of semisimple Leibniz algebras the authors note that it is sufficient to consider local derivations of indicomposable semisimple Leibniz algebras. It is proved that every local derivation of a complex semisimple finite-dimensional Leibniz algebra is a derivation.
