In [\textit{L. Rowen}, Contemp. Math. 727, 317--335 (2019; Zbl 1481.08003)] a program of revisiting classical algebraic phenomena by embedding them in a tropical context using the theory of triples and systems. In the paper under review this approach is applied to Lie algebras.
