Articles by various authors examine couples (mostly, but not exclusively, husband-and-wife, and all no longer alive) who collaborated, in some form or other, on scientific work. Most of the case studies come from biology, chemistry, and social sciences. Mathematics and mathematicians receive short shrift, making just a handful of brief appearances -- in one of which Mary Somerville is identified as a ``mathematics expositor''.
