This short paper presents a brief overview of opinion dynamics and the related models. It covers linear models of opinion dynamics including the DeGroot model and the Friedkin-Jensen model, and nonlinear models including continuous, discrete and mixed models. Some special classes of social agents are examined. They include informed agents, contrarian agents, extremist agents.
