Calculation of the obstruction ideals of Morin maps (Q663102)

The author calculates the \({\mathbb Z}_2\) obstruction ideals of the Morin singularities \(\Sigma^{1_r}\) in Morin corank \(1\). Given a smooth \(n\) dimensional manifold \(M\) and a fixed codimension \(k>0\), one would like to construct homological obstructions to the existence of smooth maps \(f:M \to {\mathbb R}^{n+k}\) with only \(\Sigma^{1_s}\) sigularities for \(0 \leq s \leq r\). Such maps are called \(\Sigma^{1_r}\) maps.
