Let \(F\) be an algebraically closed field of arbitrary characteristic. The aim of the paper under review is to determine primitive finite irreducible linear groups over \(F\) whose every minimal non-central normal subgroups are solvable. For such groups, the author determines the almost cyclic elements (an element in a linear group is said to be \textit{almost cyclic} if its all but one eigenvalues have multiplicity \(1\)) of prime power order, coprime to the characteristic.
