Every commutative affine algebra (over a field) is both Noetherian and finitely presented. In the noncommutative case, when the ground field has characteristic different from zero, \textit{R. Resco} and \textit{L. W. Small} gave a counterexample that shows there exists an affine algebra (over a field of nonzero characteristic) which is not finitely presented, see [Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 25, No. 6, 549--552 (1993; Zbl 0802.16014)]. In this paper, the author gives an example in which the ground field has characteristic zero, i.e., there exists a finitely generated Noetherian algebra over a field of characteristic zero which is not finitely presented (Theorem 1.1).
