As the author puts it: it is proven that two well-known asymptotically best relative rational approximations of type $ (n,n) $ to $ e^x $ over $ [-1,1], $ constructed by \textit{G. Nemeth} [Mat. Zametki 21, 581--586 (1977; Zbl 0353.41004)] and \textit{D. J. Newman} [J. Approx. Theory 40, 111--114 (1984; Zbl 0542.41015)], are indeed identical.
