The authors consider a delayed heroin epidemic model with saturated treatment function. Some sufficient conditions for the local stability of the solutions are obtained, and considering the time delay as a bifurcation parameter, the authors succeed to establish the existence of a Hopf bifurcation. Numerical simulations are also presented to justify the theoretical results contained in the paper.
