Equiuniform quotient spaces (Q668318)

The author considers the category of equiuniform group actions, i.e., group actions \((X,G)\) which are bounded with respect to a given invariant uniformity on \(X\). Given a normal subgroup \(N \le G\), he constructs a quotient equiuniform action in the sense of category theory. This means that he constructs an equiuniform group action \((X,G)/N\) and an equivariant map \((u,\alpha): (X,G) \to (X,G)/N\) such that every equivariant map \((v,\beta):(X,G) \to (Y,H)\) in the category with \(N\) contained in the kernel of \(\beta\) uniquely factors through \((u,\alpha)\).
