Statements
This dataset contains the classification of email domain names used in the paper Analyzing the use of email addresses in scholarly publications by Marc Luwel and Nees Jan van Eck. Email domain names are classified as institutional if they are linked to a scholarly organization or as non-institutional if they are linked to an email service provider. The file email_domain_name_classification.txt contains for 11,608 email domain names the classification based on a rule-based approach and after manual validation.
