In this directory, it contains Pn, Sn velocity beneath eastern China in the XYZV format. Files:P.xyzv: Pn wavespeedS.xyzv: Sn wavespeedThe velocity are defined on regular grids with 1 degree by 1 degree with depth interval of 5 km. P_0.25.xyzv: Pn wavespeedS_0.25.xyzv: Sn wavespeedThe velocity are defined on regular grids with 0.25 degree by 0.25 degree with depth interval of 5 km. Please note that, Pn and Sn sample the uppermost mantle (downward to about 75km for P and about 65 km for S) well. The model has depth range of -10 km -- 200 km. This is because the inversion is a 3-D inversion, which defines velocity on regular grids in 3-D. Therefore, the mantle at depths 75--100 km for P and 65--100 km are little sampled. The velocity below 100 km should be inherited from the initial model. The velocities in continental regions have good resolution of 2-by-2 degree or better in most regions. In oceanic regions, the velocities are inherited from the initial model. For details, please refer to the papers below.
