This submission includes the dataset of the Line 2 (Food waste in children's behaviour at school and at home) of the project "'How the hell do you eat? Experiential pilot project of food and agri-environmental education dedicated to food-related knowledge, necessary to appreciate it and not waste it, funded by Regional Agency for Prevention, Environment and Energy of Emilia-Romagna (ARPAE) within the topic Information and education program for sustainability of the Emilia-Romagna Region for the three-year period 2017-2019 (Infeas Program 2017/2019), on the topic Food and agro-environmental education. The project was implemented by the University of Bologna, in collaboration with the Centres for Education for Sustainability (CEAS) Nonantola and Union of Municipalities of Sorbara, and Panaro Valley, from 15 November 2017 to 31January 2019. The project consisted of three waves of questionnaire (autumn 2017, January 2018 and May 2018) administered to primary school children and their parents, and focused on food and food waste behaviours at school and at home. The first wave was paired with a session of behavioural economic experiments with the children. In January, half of the school classes, randomly selected, were delivered a lesson by the CEAS on the environmental impact of food waste, while the other classes attended a lesson on other environmental issues. The submission includes the dataset derived from the three waves of questionnaires and the behavioural experiments in Excel format (1. Full_dataset_pseudonymised_2020.02.10), the metadata of the questionnaire variables (2. Metadata_questionnaires_English), the metadata of the behavioural experiments, implemented using the oTree software (3. Metadata_experiments_English), and a short description of the experiments (4. Experimental_setup_English).
