Outer conjugacy classes of automorphisms and antiautomorphisms of real and complex injective factors (Q676204)

The paper is devoted to *-antiautomorphisms and *-automorphisms of complex and real injective factors and their applications to classification of type \(\text{III}_{\lambda}\) \((0 < \lambda < 1)\) real injective factors. Outer conjugacy classes of *-automorphisms and *-antiautomorphisms of real and complex type \(\text{II}_{\infty}\) factors are described, namely the authors prove the uniqueness of outer class of *-automorphisms with \(\text{mod}(.)=\lambda\) \((\lambda \neq 1)\) of injective real \(\text{II}_{\infty}\) factor and the uniqueness of outer class of *-antiautomorphisms with \(\text{mod}(.)= {\sqrt{\lambda}}\) \((\lambda \neq 1)\) of injective complex \(\text{II}_{\infty}\) factor. As an application it is proved that there exist exactly two classes of real injective factors of type \(\text{III}_{\lambda}\) \((0 < \lambda < 1)\).
