A version of a simplified one-dimensional hydrodynamic model for semiconductors is studied. Steady-state solutions are obtained as limits of viscous solutions when the viscosity vanishes. The periodic boundary condition for the electron density is considered. Also the case of absent boundary condition is discussed.
