It is shown that an implicit Runge-Kutta method of order \(s\) with stage order \(s-1\) can always be constructed with a given stability function of order \(s\) or more. A stiffly accurate, \(L\)-stable semi-implicit Runge-Kutta method of order 6 with 5 stages is presented.
