Following an effective strategy (Z. Bai et al.) to solve the block two-by-two linear systems, the authors propose a new iteration method to solve a class of nonlinear equations with two-by-two Jacobian matrices, while at the same time Newton's modified method is improved to solve large systems of nonlinear equations. Local convergence under some conditions from Holder-type is proved. Numerical results are also given.
