Recently, the involution and the time reversibility have been generalized in [\textit{J. Llibre} et al., Bull. Sci. Math. 136, No. 3, 342--359 (2012; Zbl 1245.34004)]. In the present paper, the authors study the generalized involution and its properties together with those of generalized reversible differential systems induced by this generalized involution. As an application of the results obtained the authors discuss the integrability of the generalized reversible differential systems and their related integrability varieties. Some interesting examples are given to illustrate their results. A computational approach to find subfamilies of partially integrable systems inside some families of polynomial differential systems is provided.
