Poly-Cauchy numbers are defined via a generating function containing the so-called polylogarithm factorial, see \textit{T. Komatsu} [Kyushu J. Math. 67, No. 1, 143--153 (2013; Zbl 1295.11024)]. The author introduces various generalizations of the poly-Cauchy and poly-Bernoulli numbers using the restricted and associated Stirling numbers of the first kind. A number of identities for the new sequences are proved including representations in terms of iterated integrals.
