Improving earlier results the author shows the following: Let \(C\) be a planar convex body. Then there are homothetic rectangles \(R\), \(S\) with homothety ratio \(\leq 2\) such that \(R\subset C \subset S\) and \(| S|/2 \leq | C| \leq 2| R|\), where \(|\;|\) denotes area.
