The author considers waveform relaxation methods for the linear initial value problem \(\dot x+ Ax= f\), \(x(0)\) given, based on a splitting \(A= M- N\). Conditions for convergence are given for a number of cases. The results generalize those for the iterative solution \(Au= f\).
