The author has developed a phenomenological theory for multicomponent diffusion, including thermal diffusion in gas mixtures in which the components may have different temperatures. The binary thermal diffusion coefficients are given in terms of collision integrals. Single term prevalent systems and ordinary systems are obtained as special cases.
