Generalized Lyapunov characteristic indicators and corresponding Kolmogorov like entropy of the standard mapping (Q687259)

Some generalizations of the Lyapunov characteristic indicators, via high moments of the distributions of the local variations of the tangent vectors to the flow, and of Kolmogorov entropy, via Pesin's formula, are discussed. Numerical results, showing the behavior of these generalized characteristics for different typical orbits of the standard map \[ x_ 1=x_ 0+a \sin(x_ 0+y_ 0),\;y_ 1=x_ 0+y_ 0 \pmod{2\pi} \] for different initial conditions and values of the parameter, are described.
