    The model presented in this work is a heterogeneous selection model for subdivided populations. Each subpopulation is subject to overdominant selection, and migration between subpopulations according to a multiplicative migration scheme is assumed. The authors determine stationary allele frequencies of the system when migration and selection are both small. The equilibrium values can be represented as convex linear combinations of a purely selective equilibrium corresponding to isolated subpopulations and an allele frequency among immigrants. Moreover, the correlation \(R\) between Wright's \(F\)-statistics (associated with the variance of allele frequencies) and average heterozygosities in the subpopulations is studied. It is shown that (at least under further assumptions) heterogeneous selection leads to \(R>0\), homogeneous selection leads to \(R<0\), and \(R=0\) if neutrality is indicated.
