A topological space \(X\) is called resolvable if there exist two disjoint dense subsets of \(X\), otherwise \(X\) is called irresolvable. In this paper the authors investigate and characterize those spaces in which every open subspace is irresolvable. In addition they provide characterizations of minimal irresolvable topologies and maximal resolvable topologies.
