The article presents a calculation of the the monodromy zeta function and the Alexander polynomial for a complex curve singularity. The result is based on \textit{N. A'Campo}'s formula for the zeta function of the monodromy [Comment. Math. Helv. 50, 233--248 (1975; Zbl 0333.14008)].
