Some questions in fuzzy metric spaces (Q695264)

The paper is devoted to the study of the fuzzy metric \(M(x,y,t)= \frac{\min \{x,y\}+t}{\max \{x,y\}+t}\) for nonnegative real numbers. Questions of completeness, continuity, uniform continuity and contractivity are studied for this metric, usually for cases \(t=0\) and \(t>0\). In the final part it is shown how this metric can be applied to measure perceptual colour differences. Several open problems concerning the studied metric are formulated throughout the paper.
