\textit{J. E. Joseph} and \textit{M. H. Kwack} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 80, 341-348 (1980; Zbl 0441.54010)] introduced the notion of \((\theta,s)\)-continuous functions in order to investigate \(S\)-closed spaces. In the present paper, further properties of \((\theta,s)\)-continuous functions are obtained, and relationships to other types of functions such as contra-continuous functions and regular set-connected function are investigated.
