Strong and weak laws of large numbers for fuzzy random variables are presented. Although some techniques used here are well known in classical probability theory [and have been suggested by \textit{R. Körner}, ibid. 92, No. 1, 83-93 (1997; Zbl 0936.60017)] the author overcomes some difficulties, e.g. the lack of a distributive law for fuzzy sets with the consequence that the classical concept of symmetrization cannot be used. The concept of variance of a fuzzy random variable, however, demonstrates its efficiency.
