The author studies the global attractivity of the delay difference equation \[ \Delta x_n+a_nx_n+f\left( n,\sum_{s=-k}^0q_{s,n}x_{s+n}\right) =0, \] which includes the discrete type of many ecological equations. Sufficient conditions that guarantee every solution to converge to zero are obtained, which improve and generate the known results.
