The doubly periodic Costa surfaces (Q699742)

In 1984 \textit{C. Costa} [Bol. Soc. Bras. Mat. 15, 47-54 (1984; Zbl 0613.53002)] found an example of a complete minimal surface with finite total curvature whose embeddedness has been proved by \textit{D. A. Hoffman} and \textit{W. Meeks III} [J. Differ. Geom. 21, 109-127 (1985; Zbl 0604.53002)]. Substituting the planar end of the Costa surface by symmetry curves the author of the present paper gets global Weierstrass representations of some new families of complete minimal surfaces. Furthermore, he studies some properties of these new minimal surfaces.
