Among the several applications of the method of domain decomposition for solving boundary value problems there is also the system of equations of linear elastodynamics. The problem arises in seismology whenever the shape of the region, where propagation occurs, is irregular. The author presents a numerical application of the procedure by decomposing the original domain into four blocks.
