Wavelet transforms and localization operators (Q700447)

The author studies wavelet transforms and localization operators in the form of Schatten--von Neumann norm inequalities for infinite-dimensional and square-integrable representations of locally compact and Hausdorff groups. These transforms include transforms coming from the Weyl--Heisenberg group and the affine group. The study is carried out in the perspective of pseudodifferential operators (PsDOps), quantization and signal analysis. Several new spectral results on PsDOps are presented in the setting of localization operators. This well-written book is accessible to graduate students and mathematicians with basic knowledge of measure theory and functional analysis.
