A computational scheme for the one-dimensional heat equation with non-local boundary conditions is considered, and its stability in energetic spaces \(H_D\) generated by self-adjoint positive operators \(D\) is discussed. The author describes a class of operators \(D\) for which the stability of the scheme in \(H_D\) is equivalent to simple inequalities on the parameters of the scheme.
