The purpose of the present paper is to study division estimates in the setting of very smooth germs, namely ultradifferentiable classes. In this paper the author obtains a complete solution of the considered problem in the case \(n=2\). The paper is organized as follows: Section 1 recalls definitions and various prerequisites. Section~2 states and partly proves the main result (theorem 2.1). Section 3 is devoted to establishing a technical estimate, thus completing the proof of theorem 2.1. Finally, in section 4 the author discusses the sharpness of the main result (see theorem 4.1), applies it to a characterization of closed ideals (theorem 4.2) and gives some comments in the higher-dimensional case.
