The robust stability analysis problem for \(n\)D linear systems described by the Roesser model is investigated by the use of the \(\mu\) analysis approach. It is shown that the problems of stability test and stability margin computation can be formulated as a set of \(\mu\) analysis problems in a unified way. The upper bound of \(\mu\) provides a lower bound for the stability margins and the lower bound of \(\mu\) provides an upper bound for the stability margins.
