This paper considers a discrete-time bulk-service queueing system with Bernoulli arrivals and a finite waiting room, with the special feature that the capacity of the server at the beginning of a service is a random variable. The stationary distributions of the number of customers in the queue at post-departure, random, and pre-arrival moments are studied analytically and numerically.
