The paper deals with the solution of a time dependent reaction diffusion lambda-omega system with the aid of the finite difference theta scheme. The author investigates the stability and accuracy of this method. In order to improve the efficiency a multigrid strategy is applied and analyzed. Several numerical examples verifying the theoretical results are presented.
